Urgent - need help with splitting SVCD file!!

Hi, after much difficulty I finally made an svcd with my video file, I played it on my pc. and everything is perfect.........everything is in sync!! Major problem now, I have to plit the file in 3 to burn to cd-r, I usually do this with TMPGE with no problem but all of a sudden I'm getting a problem...........I split the file in 3 but I found that the audio disappears for the last 5 minutes or so of each new file.............can someone please help me, I went through so much trouble getting this movie encoded..........HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha... TMPGEnc split/merge functionnality often screws up the audio track.

    Here is several solutions:

    1. Use another tool to split. I don't know any but you should be able to find some in the download section.
    2. I generally use the "Source Range" functionnality at encode time, so that I don't have to split anything. You will have to re-encode your movie in three chunks. That'll give you 3 MPEG files with soundtrack OK.

    Hope that helps

Split the ORIGINAL (.AVI, I presume) file in three, using VirtualDub, or any of its variants...

(Make certain to set BOTH video and audio to "Direct Stream Copy")

Splitting the AVI in three will result in more work and more disk space usage for the conversion (3 AVI+the original)... But either way is fine I guess.
I always use the original AVI and the "Source Range" option of TMPGEnc to encode directly from my original AVI to my 3 MPEG files. This way, there is no need for any temporary AVI files.

I have a couple of questions, when I have split the movie using virtualdubmod.........should I then take the split files and use virtualdubmod to extract the audio(video-direct stream, audio - full processing) to avoid out of sync problems with TMPGE or can I just load the original split file?
Also, I'm trying to make svcds now, what would be the ideal settings to encode the movie so that I can watch it on my T.V, I have a 4:3 display T.V.(ntsc) and it's not a high definition T.V........interlace or de-interlace?.........also.............if the movie is in widescreen.........is it better to just leave it at that and encode it in a way that the view on T.V. is maximized????
