avi->mpg on tmpgenc audio video problem.

Thanks to all in advance who may be able to help me out, new to the world and all...

    Have tmpgenc

used wizard to load avi into video and made wav file out of avi on virtualdub....

Sectioned movie to fit on two discs, and the first one came out alright, but the second one has audio video out of sync!?@?

Did this twice now... why could this be happening and can I fix this somehow?

Neo Luddite here, so write in big slow sounding words or steps for me...

hope I can return the favour for someone else on these boards in the future.

    Cheers!

In TMPGENc, go to "Source Range" in advanced settings. There is an option called "Audio Gap Correct" where you can adjust for variations in the audio.

So what are the simplest steps to adjust the audio in order to test if it is in sync? (ick, I can't believe I used those two words)

Do I adjust, then save? Or do I have to re-encode the mpg?

      Thanks a bunch!

Adjust, and save with a new filename.
