    Fixing a SVCD

I have a problem with a SVCD movie and i hope there is a way to fix it because the movie was made in 1982 and it took forever to find ... the only copy i've been able to find.I got the movie allready burned onto two CD's but the person who encoded it didn't fix the audio/video de-sync before burning it to CD.I've been encoding video for a couple of years now but i make .avi files and i know very little about VCD/SVCD.

What i would like to do is extract the video from the CD and convert it to .avi so i can fix it ... Can this be done? and if so how do i do that and what programs do i need?
If it can't be done this way ... is there ANY way that i can fix it?

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

First to extract simply pop the cd in the drive, open up the drive in My Computer, then go into the CD, into the "MPEGAV" folder, and copy the .DAT file somewhere to your HDD.

Then, from there rename it to "moviexxxx.MPG

Then encode the movie to an avi with VirtualDub.
