    SVCD to DVD-R

    Hi!

    I have a problem.

    I have 2 ISO files for a SVCD movie (cd1 & cd2).
What I'd like to do is to make it so that I can have both cd's on one DVD-R instead. But I don't know how I'm supposed to ripp the video files from the ISO image and place them on a DVD-R and make it playable in my DVD Player.

I would be verry thankfull for any help you might provide.

    Thanks in advance.

    Good evening,

You excerpt of your 2 ISO files the two SVCD files with ISOBUSTER v1.6 pro or VCDGear v3.55
Then, with TMPEGEnc you glue your 2 SVCD files.
And finally Nero for the burning.

To verify that your player makes reading.

Thanks for replying. I have now copied the MPG file from the "MPEG2" folder in the ISO. But when I'm trying to ad the MPG file to a DVD source in TMPEGEnc I get this error message.

      "can't open, or unsupported"

      What could be wrong?

        Good evening,

        It is strange.
Did you try to view your 2 files?

        If, it functions;
Try another software of collage mpeg.
little known, but very efficient: AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner v4.61
        Downloading:
Boilsoft provides professional Spotify to MP3 Converter, Apple Music Converter, iTunes DRM Media Converter, Video Splitter/Joiner/Converter software for both Mac and Windows users. It has a variety of DRM removal software with unique features.

          okay, I'll try that.

I tried to play the MPEG files, after a little delay they start playing.

I get this error in AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner v4.61.

"The format of AVSEQ01.MPG can't be recognized!"

Nevermind, it looks like it's a corrupt image file or something. Because when I try to burn it as a SVCD my DVD woun't play it.

                  Thanks for the help anyway.

How to fool DVD-Authoring-Tools to accept SVCD files

                    Hey there,

I found this post by chance and perhaps you found the answer to your question(s) by now:

                    1. Make TMPG accept your SVCD-file: use 'restream' or 'DVD-patcher' to patch the resolution of your file to either 352x576 (PAL) or 720x576, THEN feed it to TMPEG DVD-Author; by patching it the file itself is not touched, only the information attached to it, that the programmes get.

REMEMBER: after authoring your DVD and BEFORE compiling it, you have to patch the file back to 480x576 (PAL)!

                    2. The AVSeq.mpg file you get, is not a "real" .mpg file yet. Use 'VCDEasy' to do the following: in 'VCDEasy' open 'Tools', go to 'MPEG-Tools', there in 'Convert MPEG file with RIFF-Header into real MPEG file' load your "AVSEQ.mpg" (DAT-file), choose the location for the output (MPEG-file), than click 'convert'.

You should have no more probs after that. The only other question would be, if your Standalone accepts the new DVD with the SVCD resolution; many do, but it seems, not all of them.
