VCD Issues

Hey guys.

We all know that VCD is susceptible to artifacts and loss of quality.

BUT how will you explain this to your client that complains about every single tiny glitch or rough dissolves, or not so sharp fine texts?

I would explain to your client that they would be better off converting or backing-up to a "DVD Video" format versus a "VCD Video" format.

i was thinking about that.

But how would you let them understand the VCD issues.
This is the fromat that they prefer.

can you point me to the a website that has VCD/mpeg facts that I can quote? especially regarding compression, image quality... issues?
