I have a AVI movie that plays perfectly in WMP /real one and in the nero preview player but when i convert it to VCD or SVCD i get a slight stutter every 2 or 3 seconds, the sound is perfect.

The only thing i can think of ( noob here ) is i have fast writes enabled in bios,would this make any difference ?
