A DivX-compressed .AVI file is typically approximately half the size of an otherwise identical VCD file.
Quality really can't/shouldn't be compared because the SOLE PURPOSE of creating a VCD is so that you can view the video on your television - which has a much lower resolution than your PC's monitor...
Ahh i think i get ya!
so you cant play avi's on a stand alone DVD? becuase i've just created an mpeg and told the edcoder to make sure the file didn't go over 80 mins, the file size is 789mb so its useless, unless anyone can think of a way that i can fit it onto one CD and it will still be in MPEG....or a way or putting the remaining 89mb with the second file?
