TMPGenc Encoding probz plz take a look

I got a bit of a problem I need help with...
I'm trying to encode an avi-file to mpg using TMPGenc.
After encoding about 25 minutes of the movie I get the following error:
Illegal floating decimal point calculation order
    What can I do??
I opened the file in virtualdub and then I got this mess:
"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 151670ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAv file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 160.0+-39.1kbps)"
When I check file/file information in virtualdub I see the following:
    Video stream
Frame size, fps (µs per frame) 576x240 23.976 fps (41708µs)
    # of frames (time): 125638 (1:27:20)
    Decompressor: DivX MPEG-4 Video Codec
    Number of key frames: 2016
    Min/avg/max/total key frame size: 682/11274/53709 (22197K)
    Min/avg/max/total delta frame size: 0/4834/83435 (583621K)
    Audio stream
    Sampling rate: 48000Hz
    Channels: 2(stereo)
    Sample precision: 0-bit
Compression: Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec
    Preload skew: 384 sampples (0.01s)
    # of frames: 218337
    Min/avg/max/total frame size: 96/480/960 (102374K)
I chose video/direct stream copy and audio/full processing mode.
    Audio/conversion:
    44100Hz, 8-bit, stereo
    Audio/compression:
    MPEG Layer-3 224 kBit/s, 44 100 Hz, stereo 28KB/s
    Then I choose
File/Save WAV and use that file in TMPGenc as audio source.
I have loaded the videocd (ntsc film).mcf template.
Then I start encoding and get the error after encoding for about an hour and 25 minutes of the movie.
This is really anoying me and I desperately need help.
So many thanks to whoever may help me, and please do if you can.
    Thanks again

    Correction

Hmm, wrote something wrong I think...
When I save the audiofile as a WAV I do as following:
    Audio/full processing mode
    Audio/conversion:
    44100Hz, 8-bit, stereo
    Audio/compression:
    no compression (PCM)
    File/save WAV

    So what is wrong??

Try and run the file in this program.
      The try again.
Try also another version of TMPGenc.
