Converted Video - Surround Sound capable?
I know this is kind of off topic, but I am having some difficulty with my audio playback after converting movies into digital format. I have converted the video with a dazzle 80 converter (both in avi and mpeg), but after I have put it onto a disc, and popped it into my dvd player, the sound only comes out of two speakers (there is no bass nor does it come out of the remaining three speakers that are in my surround sound set) I tried to capture audio alone with this device, and the same problem has occured. Is this common? Is there a way to capture video that is able to be played in surround sound? I am desperate to know. It's been bugging me. I am willing to buy a new video capture device if need be, but I'd like to get an understanding of what is going on. Thanks.
