No audio synchronization on mpg from some DivX

I often find me with some DivX which, after the conversion with TMPGEnc (2.02.31.119) it go out audio synchronism .
To the beginning it is syncronized, then it loses the synchronism; I have tried to extract the audio with various programs but always with the same result.
I am desperate!!!! Why this happens?? How can I syncronize the audio?

    Thanks in advance

Try using an older version of TMPGEnc, such as 1.2C. Using this version, I've never experienced the problem you've described.

I have already tried but I have had the same result
The defect has to be in the file DivX version 5

You've now mentioned the magic phrase "v.5.0" - although I must tell you that I'm surprised to hear of the degree of success you've had with it under TMPGEnc. If you search these forums, you'll find multiple postings referring to audio with absolutely no video resulting from attempting to convert DivX v.5.0 videos under TMPGEnc...

Assuming you have either the DivX v.3.11alpha or v.4.xxx codec installed (in addition to the v.5.0):

It could result from an audio/video interleave problem.

            Load the file into VirtualDub

Set "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

Set "Video" to "Full Processing Mode"

Under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Compression" and choose the 3.11 or 4.xxx codec

Under the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" and make certain that it's set to "Interleave audio every 1 frame" (NOT ms). Also make certain that there IS a checkmark in the uppermost box labeled "Enable audio/video interleaving"

From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and enter a new filename.

Use this new file with TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG
