Putting many VCDs on one DVD?

Because converting VCDs into DVDs will not improve quality is there a way to fit 6 VCDs onto one DVD (4200MB)??? Thus saving DVD-Rs

Would it be unplayable on your average stand alone? What about on a pc?

treat the vcd as data and make a data dvd then play on computer
leave as vcd and play on good dvd player

So for comp I would still have to mount the images in alcohol/daemon tools? It would just be like a backup?

EDIT: I found this can the same be applied to VCD also? (I hav'nt read it all yet)

Ben,I think Saaaam does not wish to convert VCD to DVD.In that case his only option is to do what Chewy suggested---burn the VCD as data DVD and then find a player that will be able to play it.

Is there a FREE Program that can replace what TMPGEnc does? And it is easy.

Q: If I have 1 Movie on 2 VCDs (Part 1 & Part 2) ... can these EASILY be combined on 1 DVD with FREEWARE and not a BIG LEARNING CURVE?

Nero is not free, but you can try nero vision express

copying the files to your HD and renaming the .dat's to .mpg then author with something like dvdauthorgui(if the source was NTSC 29fps). I know it works excellent this way with TMPGEnc DVD Author anyway. you should consider buying TMPGEnc, jmet has a great guide for exactly what you want to do too
