    Divx sound problem

keep getting this message when trying to open a divx video file to virtual dub improper vbr audio encoding in the source avil file, and it tells me to decompress the entire audio and save it as a wav. I have done that but, the problem lies when i have to cut the movie to fit it on a 80min disc, the sound doesn't match up. Could anyone give me the best way to copy divx to vcd, i have tried using the articles posted but it isn't working. I have virtual dub, TMPGE, and nero burning. Thanks to all who can help

You cut in TMPGenc or Virtualdub. The important thing to remember is always cut at a key frame, otherwise you will face sync issues. The guides have explained this.

What do you split: the avi or the mpeg. If the "split" avis are fine, and the two mpegs ahve problems then you may have to downsample.
