    Avi2vcd

I have just encoded an AVI file to MPEG using AVI2VCD. Upon completion of this file the sound is very distorted and the movie plays upside down. The final file ended up being a DivX.Mpg file. Can someone tell me how to correct this file and make it out of a VCD?

    Thanks

Is the audio stream in the original AVI compressed? If so, have you made sure to run AVI Audio Decompress (it comes w/ AVI2VCD) on the file first? (AVI2VCD doesn't accept compressed audio).

If the audio is already decompressed, have you considered processing the audio seperatly? You can always mux the audio into the resulting MPEG again later. (If you help w/ this, let me know.)

For the inverted video, have you left the "Invert Video" option on by mistake? If you haven't, have you tried turning it on?

Try this advice and get back to me.

It's right above the Exit button. (If it's not there, are you using an out-of-date version of AVI2VCD? I'm using 1.4.1b8. Maybe the invert video option isn't available in earlier versions.)
