    svcds are hard to get to play on pc.

    ok i recently got the a.i. svcd... it plays fine from my hd... but when i burn it and try to run with powerdvd it has problems.. it seems to be struggling like it was a bad burn or sumthing... it sometimes wont even be able to access the movie.. out of 5 tries i got it to play once.. ive tried burning it at 1x 2x and 4x.. i even tried extracting the video from the bin file and burning it using nero... nuthing seems to werk... ;( its not the media becuz ive made vcds/svcds with these before...by the way.. im using compusa 16x 80min/700mb....

      Try a different software player, such as WinDVD v.3.xxx...

        hmmm does svcd require faster cd drive then vcd??

          It is almost always the case of an inadequately fast drive when the original file can be played smoothly from HD, but not from the CD drive itself.

          Anyway, is DMA enabled for your drives already?

            hmmm.... it seems that if i drag the mpg out of the folder into powerdvd it will play fine... but it seems to have trouble when trying to start it with powerdcd ;(
