Can't load ASF with virtualDub 1.3c ??

i'm running virtualDub 1.3c with the SMR patch which supposedly allows me to load ASF files. So, how come i STILL can't load ASF files into this virtualDub version? i'm getting this error???

It appears that you require the original Microsoft codec set. It is available in any of the numerous codec "packs" at DivX Digest and others...
