What are the resolution and video bitrate of the rip that you made? The smoothness of the movie may be affected by too high a resolution (which your CPU may have trouble with), insufficient bitrate (resulting in dropped frames), etc.
For the out-of-synch sound, you can send the rip straight into Virtualdub and correct it with the Interleave setting:
1. Open file in VD
2. Set Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
3. Under Audio tab, play around with the Interleave setting until you get the desired value
4. File -> Save as .AVI and give a name to the new file
I would suggest that you use GordianKnot, as it has superior quality to Flask and it is easy to use as well (automating most of the tasks that are normally required of you). -
the move is street fighter alpha
res is 720x480 I left it the same. Im using divx 5 with a bit rate of 950
Im going to try to use GordianKnot, I never heard to it before.
I hope it will be able to do it be my transfomer dvd is not looking to good and i have the vob file ripped on my computer and i dont what to buy another dvd yet. But thanks for the info.Comment

Being an originally-FILM NTSC material, you can do Inverse Telecine to remove interlacing artifacts and bring down the fps to 23.97. From experience, encoding originally-FILM materials at 29.97fps often leaves a nasty sound synch. problem, so doing IVTC should solve your synch. problem. GordianKnot can set IVTC up for you, so it shouldn't be a difficult task.
SF Alpha...I did that months ago. Not a bad show.Comment

Mind you, I was tempted by Tekken the movie- there's something about 'tacky cool'...
latest venture is 'Black Jack' - Should be a laugh! (Not the porn version as the rental place thought)

I was just being neutral. I know of some people who found it great, if not, the greatest anime show they've ever been blessed to see. I thought it simply a worthwhile show to watch while waiting for something better to come along. Anyway, it's really not a bad show, esp. for SF fans.Comment

I am see my problem I was encoding the movie at 29.9 fps and the hight res so i will try the new info and hop it work. If not im just going to use GordianKnot.
One more question. Dose it realy matter what ripper you use. I liek to use claddvd to rip my movie. It the one that comes with GK is better i will use it. but Thanks for all the help.Comment

I have only tried out Smartripper (my main use) and DVD Decrypter. Both are very good rippers. I can't say much about CladDVD, but I suppose it does its job well too. As long as you get the VOB contents into your harddrive and nothing is screwed up, the ripper is good.Comment
