    divxmpg4 v3 to vcd help

    Can anyone help me i have a divxmpg4 v3 i need to convert to vdc virtualdub will not convert it so i can then use tmpeng to make it a vcd i get this error message from virtuadub

    The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input frormat. Check the sampling rate and channel count of input match those of the requested format.

    I tryed to do it just using nero it works and has sound but the video comes out upside down and back to front.

    Please i need help what am i doing wrong

    i have used tmpeng before and tmpeng to do other divx and things but this one has me stumped.

    Please anyone help

    please make sure that the audio is originally 44100Hz sample rate. If not, you must downsample the audio using an audio editor program, such as Wavelab.

    as for the rest, try this:

    open the avi in Virtualdub

    goto audio > full processing mode
    goto audio > compression and select PCM audio

    then goto file > save wav.... and save this audio

    then open the avi and this audio in TMPGENC.

    load in the VCD template

    encode

    what happens?

      Still no joy nthing seems to work having no luck with wavelab eithercant seem to work out how to downsample the audio

        What do you mean by that? Normally you can just send in the video into TMPGEnc without having to use VirtualDub for any other purposes.

          Unless the file includes an unprocessable (by TMPGEnc) audiostream (.AC3 or VBR-.MP3), you should be able to load the file directly into TMPGEnc. Otherwise load the file into NanDub and convert the audiostream to .WAV format...
