I've been told by a friend that there is a program out there that can convert DVD to DivX without the user having to do anything for the most part. He told me that all you have to do is put the DVD in the drive and hit start and it will find the right aspect ratio and audio bitrate and everything so the output file will fit on a 700mb CD. It apparently even does all the ripping and encoding and everything. I just wanted to know if there really was a program that does this and if there is, drop a link for me
Does it exist?

I'm afraid there really is no quick fix. Yes there are programs that will do everything for you but they all need a bit of interaction. Many of these progs, or "rippacks" as they are known are merely front ends for suites of other programs. You will still need to configure the video/audio codecs and a few things. Beware though, their is usually a trade off in quality with these things. I would say it's far better to read a few guides and teach yourself the individual programs than let the rippack do all the work. You will get a much better sense of satisfaction when you make your first DivX if you do it yourself. But if you want to give it a go, look right here on Digital Digest or try Doom 9
Good luck!Snooch to the Nooch!
