    How to Mux DivX and Ac3 stream?

    Hi

    My probmel is, that i can´t mux a DivX Stream and an Ac3 stream with 48 KHz and 448 Kbit/s. Or better I can mux them, but i cannot play them, only with hanging every 3 seconds .
    If I had the noramlly 384 Kbit/s (I think so) Stream there is no problem.

    I use VitualDubAC3 and the iviaudio Codec to mux the Streams .

    Is there anny prog, that can mux this streams?
    If yes, where can I get this prog?

      Hi

      Mhhh my AC3 filter is registered on my system. Named Iviaudio
      Codec. And I have 1,2 GHz prozzi I think that´s enought.

      No I think I need an other tool to mux the Ac3 and DivX stream, but I don´t know which tool support Ac3 streams whith 448Kbits/s.

      VirtualDub is OK, but only for 338Kbits/s streams.

        I got the same problem...

        I tried to mux an AVI stream using its AC3 extracted audio at 384 kbps, with the same result...out of synch , freezed frames...you name it, but nobody answers my thread yet!. By the way... i used Nandub for muxing, trying different interleaving settings (according to some internet guides, of course)...nothing...

          Hi

          Use VirtualDub a special Version with AC3 - than you have no probs - but where can I get Nandub?

            nandub can be found on my page - just click on the anigif

            under muxing you could find the following settings in my guide:

            6.6
            In cas you want to mux AC3 streams, the following seetings might be useful:
            AC3 192kbit/s => Preload: 80ms Interleave every 80ms.
            AC3 384kbit/s => Preload: 160ms Interleave every 160ms.
            AC3 448kbit/s => Preload: 128ms Interleave every 128ms.

            give them a try!

                About Virtual Dub AC3 muxing...

                I already tried using Virtual Dub AC3 for muxing a week ago before writing this reply, working those settings(interleaving=160ms,etc) of course, with the same annoying results. But now i'm thinking maybe was the way the audio stream was extracted: i used Xmpeg and could be a sampling problem...any ideas?

                  Mhhh

                  This is the first time i used Nandub and 448 Kbits/s AC3 stream and it works

                  Have you switched the button in the interleaving menue from frames to milliseconds (ms) when you use Nandub?
                  I forgot it first.

                    About switching...

                    Of course i switched the button in the interleaving menue from frames to milliseconds using Nandub...i'm not that kind of newbie.
                    My question remains: was a good or bad idea extracting the audio stream using Xmpeg? Is it better to use another one?. Every version i know of Flask and Xmpeg have a really bad bug when comes to sampling audio streams during extraction.

                      i'd ALWAYS suggest to handle sound seperately!

                      use vob2audio or besweet and mux your sound with your avi using nandub.

                      (of course my first choice would be to use gordianknot 026b + divx 5.02 pro two passes for transcoding purposes instead of xmpeg)

                        Thanks for your suggestion. By the way...i just used Xmpeg for extracting the AC3 audio stream because it seemed more easy, but i never use Xmpeg for muxing!.I'm gonna try besweet and vob2audio.
