    dvdx 2.0

    Hi,
please forgive my "NEWBIENESS". I use DVDx 2.0. Now i try to rip a particullar dvd using the basic settings. What happenes now is that when it finishes converting to ; lets say SVCD, I ALWAYS get a file that is about 1.7 gig in size. So i tried to convert it again this time i decided to lower the frame rate to 5200 frames in the output setting which gave me a estimated size of 697 megs. When it was finished it only ripped about 1/4 of the movie.
So what i'm asking is how do i convert a dvd to fit a standard 80 min cdr regarless if i'm converting to SVCD or AVI. Can any1 help?

By reducing the framerate, apparentyl you are reducing the lenght of the movie.

A beter option would be for you to split the 1.7 gb file in TMPGEnc (it it is svcd) or Virtualdub (if it is avi) to fit on about 3 cd discs.
