    IEEE1394 to Divx4.12

What program that you guys use to convert IEEE1394 (DV) format to divx4.11?
I use Premiere 6.0 to capture and tmpgenc to convert, but the prog has some bugs, i will like to use other options if any.

    My PC:
    Athlon XP1900+
    1.5GB memory DDR
    400 GB UATA 100 RAID
    W2k
    IEEE1394 board

    Thanks in Advance.

You mean the TMPGEnc has bugs...

    I believe it is the best you can use... and it is free;

    Go to:

    and

    to see for yourself

If you tell me what sort of problem you have I might be able to help you...

      Thanks.

The problem is, when you encode avi files with tmpgenc, he generates de avi ok, but if you forward this avi the screen will deform(I dont know the word )

I have some examples of the bug in my page:

The movies is at the end of the page.

      Thanks in advance.

i downloaded the sonic movie; it is encoded in divx; when you jump ahead in the stream you get the distorted blockie effects...

i am not sure what options you used for the encoding, but it seems that you are not restricted by the keyframes.

        i am not sure...

I use AVIsynth, and serve it up using directshowsource to virtual dub.

            Good Morning,

I just wrote a small text describing how we convert from miniDV to DivX. We don't use Premiere, but you may want to read this nevertheless.

            Have a nice day,

            Stef
