ACM failed to suggest audio decompression format

Whenever i try and encode audio into mp3 during a rip, I get this message. Have tried with virtual dub, Xempeg. I have the Nimo codec pack installed and am running under Windows XP.
What the hell is going on?

It is problably because the audio file is AC3 which is the file format DVD uses for audio. VirtualDub is not able to open this, and i'm not sure about Xempeg.

But you can download a VirtualDub that can open the AC3 file (http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/do...irtualdub.html) there is a modified version called "VirtualDub_AC3"

    Hope it solves your problem
