    Virtual Dub Problem !!!!!!!!

    Becuase it doesn't fit on the disc, I want to cut the end titles of the movie. I chose direct stream copy for both audio and video, I marked in and out the region I want to keep and saved it as a new file.avi. The process works, however the new file has freezed frames, and sound out of sync. I did it many times. In windows 98 it's even worse, the movie looses the audio starting with the middle of the movie.
    Please help !

    Read the guides. Always cut a keyframe to avoid synch issues.

      Use a version of VirtualDub other than 1.4.9.

      If you are using a different version, instead of marking the start and end points of the part you wish to save, mark the start and end points (on keyframes, as Batman mentioned) of the part you want to cut off and then select "eliminate frames" from the dropdown menu. Then save the remaining portion with a new filename.

      Let us know of your success ;>}

        resolved

        Thank you guys for advices.
        I just downloaded the newest virtual dub, which actually warned me of some trouble with the bitrate of the sound which I believe was the problem, and it reendexed the sound. Now it's perfect.
