HELP?? , Playa sync problem !

my last question is how do i lower the post processing level ?

OK for unknown reasons postprocessing level has been renamed CPU(quality)

In wmp6.4 you can change this by selecting files->properties->advanced->DivX Video Decompressor->properties->CPU(Quality) slider

In any version of windows that has been downgraded to wmp 7 or 8, u can still run wmp6.4 by selecting run in the start menu and typing mplayer2.exe

FlaskMPEG, as wonderful as it is in other respects, has been notorious for creating out-of-synch problems if you convert using MP3 sound. Instead, do your Flask conversion using PCM 48,000 sound. Then load the converted .AVI DivX file into VirtualDub and:

1) Under "Video", change the selection to "Direct Stream Copying"

2) Under "Audio", change the selection to "Full Processing Mode"

3) Under "Audio" select "Conversion" and change to 44,100 - You won't discern any difference in sound quality and it requires less overhead to run! (Slower/underpowered systems can handle more easily)

4) Under "Audio", select "Compression" and select MP3 and whatever sampling rate (within the 44,100 group) you wish. For films other than those with a great deal of high quality music, I've typically used 96Kbps with no discernible loss of audio quality.

5) Under "File", select "Save as .AVI" and provide a new name for your new file.

and only happens on The Playa.

If it only happens in the playa then its a playback problem.
Most likely caused by an overworked CPU, try using a lower post processing level.
Or just use wmp 6.4, it's the least cpu hungry player, and have no sync problems (In my experience)

untill today i have ripped like 10 or so movies (which were all success)
and never came across the famous sync problem.

which seems to happen only with old movies.
dunno , maybe a coincidence?
and only happens on The Playa.

anyways , im trying to rip the movie SPACEBALLS (a parody on star wars)

im using FlasKMPEG

with DivX - bitstream : 899 kilobit/sec
1 - pass

and audio - MPEG layer - 3 : 128 kBit/s , 48,000 Hz , stereo 16 KB/s

frame size: 608x368

time base : 23.976 fps

at the beginning i thought it maybe a time base error but i changed the time base to all the options possible there and i still get the same result - the sound is not in sync with the movie.

please help?
