    I need a good BiteRate Calculator ...

Hi, I have a problem mybe you can help me?

Evrytime I encode a movie it always get deviate from its original size.
I used in a AdvBitRate195 and the Nandub calculator and seems they are not precise.

I have a movie in 1:33:55 Length and I want it to pit in 700 mb,
when I use a calculator and set the bitrate.... after the encoding finished I am end up with a 693 mb file - Why Not 700 ???

I am trying to ReEncode a movie from Divx 3.11 to Divx 5.02(with subtitles) and I want to preserve as many as possible the quality - Do you have a much better and precise Calculator to offer ? or a much better way to ReEncode ?

    Thanks in advance, Nadav.

If you are using a calculator, designed for divx3.11, for calulating divx5 bitrates, you should get a deviation of about 2.4%. Use GordianKnot.

But with divx5 you should not expect to 100% precise filesize prediction, but it usually is within 3-4 MB, unless you get close to maximum quality.

Gordian Knot is a very good calculator ...

But why do I need to download the all software (with DVD2AVI, Smart Ripper ans so...) ? When all I need is only the calculator.

You don't need to do that.

If you only want to use GKnot as a bitrate calculator, you only need the main executable file.
