Hiya which software would I use to determin weather I have a divx movie file or avi

sorry if this sounds like a stupid and simple question but I am new to the divx and avi world

DivX is a compression format and AVI is normally used as the container format. If you have a file with the extension DIVX, simply rename it to AVI.
