FlaskMPEG 0.7.8.39 vs. Gordian Knot 0.26.1b

Ok guys, I know this is like asking Intel vs. AMD, Coke vs. Pepsi, Martin vs. Taylor, etc.

BUT....despite the cult following of Gordian Knot, and after having tried it myself, I can't help but keep coming back to FlaskMPEG.

This leads me to believe that somebody out there shares the same sentiment, that Flask will do the same job within one program and one step.

I'm not saying that GordianKnot is inferior, but I don't like having to use 6 programs to encode 1 divx movie with really no advantage gained from doing so. And I despise VirtualDub, I really do.

So surely there's someone else out there that prefers FlaskMPEG 0.7.8.39 over GK 0.26.1b - anybody?

    Yepp ... Me ...

But my problem is that flask and xmepg crashes if I do a 2-pass encoding. Still testing why this happens.

But if it works I think I will use flask

      Whatever works

If you want to maximize the potential of GordionKnot read the guides at doom9.org and Uncasms's.

Given Flask's previous histories, I'd be more inclined to go with GordianKnot any day. More so once I am able to create my own AVS script (which in turn makes video encoding much more versatile).
