    changing aspect ratio

    Hi,

Im quite new to DivX and DVD-ripping in general.
I recently ripped Shrek (my own copy), but sadly, i chose the wrong aspect ratio (16:9) when i ripped it. So, when i played it on my computer (gfx out), it stretched the picture vertically.
Is there any way to change the aspect ratio of the AVI, without ripping the dvd again?
    Any nice progs?

Btw, i used easydivx to rip it

I know you can change the aspect ratio in TMPGenc, but alas, that would result in creating an .mpg file, which I assume you don't want? (Or do you?)
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Also search on the whole Digital-Digest website:

A simple solution is to use the Sasami Player, which allows you to freely adjust the ratio of the video "on the fly"...

media player classic lets you change the AR on the fly.

other player should be able to as well.
