XVid - Audio Sync - Ripping problems

    Hi

I download a movie the other dya (THE RING - Vite)

Its an XVID that is out of sync - from my guessing its about 15 seconds - i have used virtualdub to reencode many times but its never anywhere near being right.

If anyone knows the correct delay for this verwsion i owuld be grateful

Anyway i am gonna try to rip the audo and video and put the video on Media Player and Audio via Winamp 9i only need to see it once)

I have used Virtualdub to get the video extracted but am having problems with the Audio - can extract a WAV file but its all messed up

Anyone know anyother tools APART from virtualdub that will do it???

    cheers

If you have the original downloaded movie, try playing it in a "decent" player such as WMP 6.4 or BSPLAYER. Also, what is your CPU load during playback? If it is abnormally high, then that may be the cause of your synch issues.

      I'll grab BSPLAYER cheers

looks as though someone did some dodgy encoding because the sounbd is starting from the
DREAMWORKS logo bit (where there shouldnt be any sound!!)
