how to cut a mpg file ?

hi there,

i need to know how to cut a mpg file that i converted from Xvid.

it's about 1,8 GB large now and i want to burn it to cd media of about 700 mb. or 3. but how do i cut it?

thanx a lot for any tips.

This can be done in TMPGEnc

1.File--->MPEG Tools--->Merge&Cut
2.Load the file by clicking Add
3.Press Edit and use [{] to mark the start of the first part that you are creating.Drag the slider half way into the movie and press [}] to mark the ending of the first part.
4.Press OK and give the part a name in the output field.
5.Hit Run.
6.Drag the slider to the point where the first part ended and press [{] to mark the start and [}] to mark the end.
7.Repeat 4-5
