    audio encoding

hi i want some peoples opinion on this matter
is it better to encode the audio with an external program (eg. Wavelab) and then mux onto the video with nandublater
or is it better to create the audio and video together with Nandub
and if there are better methods of encoding the audio can you tell me
    thanks

nandub does not actually create the mp3, if at all it is BESWEET

thus you'll be using an external tool anyway and nandub only muxes the streams.

what i consider more important, however, is the question whether or not VBR mp3 should be used!!

the usage of VBR in the AVI container is not the best way to go!

thus creating an CBR mp3 with wavelab after having normalised and maybe increased the volume level if you like that, will put you on the safer side.

variable bitrate is better done with ogg and the ogm container!
