    Hi tiny1mil

I have had this prob with Ulead DWS myself mate.

DWS is a fussy bugger at times, especially with NTSCFilm movies (i.e. most divx and xvid files out there: 23-29 3:2 pull down etc)
it can never get the chapter thumbnails right etc.

Here is what I found to cause probs with DWS:

The DWS 1.3 patch caused problems, so I returned to 1.2 and all is better.

Nero 5.5.10.x would cause probs with non-playable DVD's, so use 5.5.8.x and all is sweet

TMPGenc 2.59 is buggy, I find that 2.58 is still the best for XViD.

I always leave the audio muxed in the XViD file (if it's 48khz), as V-Dub is never that great at de-muxing audio (IMHO) If you must convert to wave then use GoldWave - just drop the XViD file on GoldWave and save as wave. If the audio is 44khz then resample in GoldWave too. But like I said I never remove the audio if it's 48khz.

When you do rip your audio with V-Dub is the wave over a gigabite in size ?? if not then V-Dub has done it's usual and just saved the MP3 (poss VBR too) with a .wav extension, it does this a lot.

I hope this is of use Ndb)

    As always this is IMHO
