Problems with some movies!!

When I try to reencode some movies (DivX 3.11) to DivX 4. and Xvid in VirtualDub, I get this error message: VideoSourceAVI [ICDecompress] error: unspecified error (-100)..

What is the problem and what can I do about it?

Talk about the AVI file container, and the Divx/Xvid codecs that are most commonly found in AVI files
