    Hi to all i need a litle help.
    Here my problems:
    1.When i try to change the avi with tmpgenc in the midle of the film i get a freeze and in the end i have only sound.
    The avi is ok i chequed several times......
    2.When i finished the conversion i start spruceup and make a dvd out of the m2v and wav stream.
    This dvd is not synchron the sound of it with the picture i get almost a sec delay on the picture.
    What am i doing wrong and how can i korrect it.

    Sounds like you got a few bad frames there.

    You could open the avi in Nandub and set video to "DirectStreamCopy" and resave the avi.
    If that works, chances are you be fine.

    If that does work, you could try the few avi fix programs out there, but in my experince they rarely work out.
    What has worked for me is the AVIsynth method.

    You say the file plays fine. This directshow based method will work.
    OK.
    When you install AVIsynth it acts as a frameserver. The site explains this.

    Ok, open notepad and type the following in:

    Directshowsource("c:\temp\my_movie.avi, fps=25")

    changing the location and frame rate to what your movie is.
    now, save the file but name it "whatever.avs"

    the .avs is important.
    You will need to do the sound seperate.
    Open the .avs and sound file in Tmpgenc and encode as usual.
