    Divx freezes

    Hi,
is there a way to check if your divx freezes without looking to the whole movie again??
Is there a way to prevent creating a divx that won't freeze? I mean to be 100% sure your file it's not corrupted.
Is there a tool to repair such errors AFTER the divx has been created?
I just encoded a divx with nandub that happens to freeze at a given point, I was lucky to spot it before burning it.
I have always been using nandub without a problem...
    Thanks

divfix is supposed to be able to fix these things.
In my experience divx 4.xx does not have this problem.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

What do you mean your Divx freezes? If you watch the file, is the video frozen? Or is the audio frozen? Or is everything frozen but the time counter continues to count? I've never seen a Divx frozen before.

You can speed it up by loading it into a modified version of Virt.Dub
        named Virtual Dub -mp3-freeze
It will fast foreward through your movie and log bad frames

Freezing frames normally happen with the transfer (resume) of the file(s)
You can repair it with AVIDeFreezer

If you can't find the modified VDub then mail me and i will send it to you

@cg24 Only video freezes, audio and counter keep going

@khp & abdul, thanks, I'm gonna test those tools... btw the bad divx is one I made with nandub, not a downloaded one (that's why I was surprised to see it freeze...)
I hope I can find that modified Vdub

              DivX repair doesn't work

              Hi.
I'm not able to repair movies encoded with XviD codec. I tried different guides. I was using AVIEDIT or above mentioned DivXRepair v 1.0.1 but either it doesn't work with XivD encoded movies (AViEdit) or it crashes (DivX Repair 1.0.1)

I don't want to cut off parts between keyframes with frozen frame. That is possible but sometimes you loose important part of movie.

I am looking for guide to repair XviD movies.
              Thanks in advance

frozen frames MIGHT occur due to this but very often they are the result of improper encoding/decoding!
