easiest way too find the frame credits start?

hiya, been getting some great results
2 pass xvid in xmpeg 4.5

but i would like too decrease the bitrate for the credits, i know its easy too do in xvid, but whats the easiest way of finding the frame number where they begin?

in xmpeg if i play/browse through the video it doesnt show the relevant frame...

I haven't used xmpeg so I don't know, but VirtualDub shows the frame numbers.

VDub is not only a very popular encoding tool, it also doubles as a really complex frame-reader
