please help me encoding with XVID ???

I have a problem when encoding edited video material in software "Pinaccle studio". I'd like to
use xvid codec, exactly 2 pass encoding. Several times I go trought the explained steps, but never with success.
So. I work with sample edited material (short one-off course have no time for waiting trought night for
edited material) and always get same final result in Mbyts. Always 3.475 MByts file. Why?
I tried several different settings of quantizer and...always 3.475 MByts.
And off course very pure quality. unacceptable quality.
Does xvid codec work with different softwares, like Pinaccle studio?
Well I really like to have final result in Xvid format but I'm afraid I'll have to use DIVX 5.0.3.
What about deinterlace filter?
Does it work in XVid format? It seems to me, that it doesn't.

Sounds like you have only performed the first pass, which always results in small and unplayable AVI files. Ensure that you have carried out "2-pas, First pass", followed by "2-pass, Second pass".
