    I think u have to use nandub, it's a modified version of vdub.
    Although I have never tried this myself.
    Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

      Youi can use this specially-modified version of VirtualDub to combine a .AC3 audio file with a DivX audio file. Go to this site:

        Does this program need to do anything before you use it?I think that this is a capture-mode program.I've tried this before,but I don't understand how doed it works.Maybe i need to use also,others programs to make a DD 5.1 DivX.Isn't it?

          virtualdub can be used for capturing but basically it is an editing tool, that is capable of almost everything you will ever want to do!

          - you need to have that ac3 sound stream at hand
          (extract it from your vob files any way you like: vob2audio, dvd2avi,.....only to name the best)

          - next you mux(i.e. multiplex) your video + soundstream
          load the avi in VD, set video to direct stream
          then load the ac3 via audio-menue (direct streamas well!!)

          - now save your new file to a different name

          i'd use one of these settings for audio-interleaving:
          AC3 192kbit/s => Preload: 80ms Interleave every 80ms.
          AC3 384kbit/s => Preload: 160ms Interleave every 160ms.
          AC3 448kbit/s => Preload: 128ms Interleave every 128ms.

            divx with dolby digital

            hello everyone
            i just wanted you to know that it is possible to encode a divx movie with the dd sound.
            i use the flaskmpeg 0.62 to encode the picture and on the audio tab just use direct copy. then you get 2 files - the audio and the video. then use nandub (i use ver. 1rc2) load the film and then add the audio. then go to the video tab and press on the frame rate - in that window check the change frame rate to audio rate. save the file and you will have a divx file with dd sound.
            have fun
