    divx-problems

    Hi.
I've tried playing a xvid-movie, but i get a message that it wont play properly when i start it. The movie is then fine, but no sound. It tries to dowload codec, but it cant.

Ps. I've innstalled a file called XviD_Install.exe and
    DivX503Bundle.exe and
    XviD-04102002-1.exe

    but no difference.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi, and welcome.
The sound is probably AC3, maybe mp3.
    Get AC3 filter here.
    Get MP3 codec here.

To really find out what the sound codec is, open the file in GSpot and that should tell you.

Have you opening the file in GSpot like The Edge suggested?
Then you will probably find out which codec is missing.

I've got problems with XVID too..
It worked all right till I installed WinXP

I've checked with GSpot 1.0 to see if I need another codec, but it says that the codec is installed. Now I just weep all night 'cause I can't decode my files...

          btw: I've installed:
          ffdshow
          nimo V5.0 Build 9 Beta 1
          Xvid codec
