    subtitles

With whitch program can you copy subtitles from your dvd? You can also find subtitles on the internet, but these are often crappy and full of mistakes.

    VobSub

You could also use Smartripper to demux them.

You can also use Subrip to extract the subs from the vob files (it's an OCR process) and write them in a text file.

But in this case, you have to correct the file 'cause the OCR process is not perfcect.

Then you can use them as any downloaded subs.

Of course, if you do not have to enable/disable subs on you divx, it's better to use vobsub and have the subs "burned inside" the movie.
