Xmpeg 4.2a crashes every time encoding the second pass
So far, my xmpeg crashes everytime at starting the second pass of encoding woth DivX 4.12. I couldn’t encode any film, by using the 2pass und 1pass settings. Until now the file that is coded on my hdd, is exacly 16384 KB, may be that is a clue for you. The settings of the 1st and 2nd pass are absolutly the same, that is not the problem I think. And yes, I had installed Flaskmpeg before I installed Xmpeg, but I completly removed all entries in the registry that leads to Flaskmpeg, but it did not use anything. Then I read that Windowx XP can’t handle very good with MP3 Codec, I removed all Windows XP MP3 Codecs and installed the Radium MP3 Codec v1.263, but also that didn’t use anything. Do u have any indea were the problem is situated??

2-pass, first pass:
Performance/quality: Slowest
Bitstream: that from the bitratecalulator
Maximum key frame interval: 300 Frames
Max CPU usage: 100 % (activated)
Deinterlace: deactivated
Default postprocessing level: 2nd stroke of to the left
Maximum quantizer: 12
Minimum quantizer: 2
Rate control averaging period, frames: 2000
Rate control reaction period, frames: 20
Rate control down/up reaction: 10
Encoding quality: 0 %
Frame dropping: 0 %
2-pass, second pass:
same settings as in 1st pass, only the variable bitrate mode is set to 2pass – second pass
I use Radium MP3 Codec v1.263, every time at 96 kbps.
Xmpeg v4.2a Settings:
Video: Framerate: 25 fps
iDCT: Auto selection
Reconstruct progressive images is deactivated
Audio: Decode Audio (on)
Same as Input, set to 48000
Post processing: Format: YV12
Filtering: Bressenham
Keep aspect ratio is on
Pixel aspect: 1:1 (VGA)
General: compile whole file is on
Search size: 10000 KB
Overlay (Automatic for YUY2 or YV12) is on
2nd Pass Enabled (for multipass Plugin) is on
2nd Pass Enabled (for DivX4) is on
These are my complete settings for encoding with Xmpeg 4.2a, may bei t helps you a little bit.
