How to do to eliminate the black bars of a film "
wildscreen " without causing deformed images. I use DIVX 5.03

in output settings for the zoom option select custom. click apply and now you will see a green box around the movie which you can resize around the actual movie getting rid of the black bars.

be sure to use a resolution that will keep the proper aspect ratio or else it will look incorrect upon playback. Personaly I use 640 width for all my dvd's then the height depends on what aspect ratio the original dvd is. example... for my 2:35:1 dvd's I use 640x272 which is a perfect 2:35:1 out put.

btw, check out the other dvd ripping programs. There are a few which are alot better then dvdx. Personaly DVDx was my first then I went to faskmpeg and now since finding this forum Im playing with GK.
