    Problems with TMPGEnc

I'm trying to convert "Herr.der.Ringe.-.Die.zwei.Türme.CD.1.(AC3,webwude,german).avi" , CD 2 and CD 3 into SVCDs. However from certain points in CD 1 and CD 3 on the screen turns black and stays like this till the end of the movie . Sound is still there . I found out that in the original avi there are picture distortions at exactly these points.

Neither VirtualDub nor DivFix can find any bad frames. Is there a way to fix this?
I can burn the files with Nero but this way the screen format is always 1:1 but I want 4:3 .

sounds like you're dealing with corrupt frames

load the avi into virtualdubMOD, go to video and scan for errors

I mean after I scanned for errors. I don't think scanning for errors alone fixes anything.

Convert with tmpgenc, and for the "source aspect ratio" choose 4:3.
