    Which version of DVDx?
    What codec?

what is it actually doing i.e. 1 chapter (*min's) or 1 episode (25-30 min's or so)

It's version 2.2 and I'm trying to use the Divx 5.0.3

And I don't think it's even doing the whole chapter cause it finished encoding where there was no new chapter.

What are you trying to convert them to AVI or MPEG?

I hear 503 has lots of bugs and even seen a few but I find that if i leave the profile checkbox ticked its fine.

also does it have the same problem on other DVD's

Maybe a screen shot of the input/output/divx pages
        Send them to Here

I'm trying to turn it into an avi. Do you think it'd be best to revert back to Divx version 502?

I would be using Flask to convert but I have the same problem with it doing one vob. My roomate uses it but he's a cock and won't show me how to make it do the whole movie. And Flask won't let me do subtitles and I need them for this movie since it's from China and I don't speak chinese.

I'm having some issues on sending you those screens because my email is being ghey so I'll just post them here. I didn't include the Divx ones because they're still at their default settings. I'm pretty new at all this so I don't know what their settings should be.

In "custom Chapter" in settings make sure you have selected every chapter you want in the movie,

At the bottom in summary it should show something like this

                "Vol 1, 01:22:46 Size:Unknown, Chap count:15 Frame:124150"

In the blue should show the length of your movie.

if your not sure just select all the Chapters and click create Volume.

                then give it a try

let me know if it works out

Well now DVDX won't even run. Everytime I try to start encoding the program crashes so I can't do anything. It's kind of odd because DVDX worked fine 2 days ago and I haven't altered any settings.

                    Very odd

try to reinstall DVDx , if it doesnt work it might be worth trying divx 502

short from scaning for virus'es the only other problem might be a program conflict of some degree.

does it freeze up on other dvds?

I reverted back to Divx 502 and it still crashes. I haven't tried any other dvd's because I'm only using DVDx for this one movie cause Flask won't do subtitles for me and I need subtitles in this movie cause it's in Chinese. And now Flask has started crashing whenever I try opening anything. But I'll try reinstalling DVDx tomorrow cause I need to get to bed right now. Hopefully it'll work.

Well it converted the movie... kinda. The movie is 1:49:06 long, but only 1:44:35 was converted. so I played what it ripped to see how it came out and in Windows Media Player at the very end of the movie, it said 1:49:06 but it was still in the middle of a scene. Any ideas?

I noticed the source DVD is 23.97 fps and your trying to encode to PAL 25 fps. This is where the time is being lost in the final encode.
