    B-frames

Did anyone experience with the B-frames in XviD? Do they reliably work (without dark or green blocks)? Since I do quality driven encodes, when I set the B-Frame quant. to 100/0 so that the B-frames have the same quality as the I or P frames, would the encoder use B-frames at all then?

Is that "the" XviD forum or should I post my question also somewhere else (url please).

    Thanks,
    Frank.

For more detailed description on when and where to use B-frames in XVID search the doom9.org forum "xvid" section.

Generally, B-frames can decrease the file size of movies (and are usually not used in "high bitrate" encodes).
