    Please Help Me .........

I downloaded "Fast and Furious" movie DIVX file from kazza, size of the file is 677MB and now i want to make a VCD out of it. I tried it using 2 softwares TMPGenc and Panasonic Mpeg encoder. Both the software are giving problems. Please help me out.

when using TMPEGenc it encodes the movie till 31% and than my pc hangs i tried it 4 times but the same problem comes. what could be the problem ?

when usinf panasonic mpeg encoder every thing goes well but the problem comes when less than one minute is left for encoding to complete its not a problem as i get the mpeg file but the file has some sound problem. Sound and the picture are not in same order. i mean sound comes first and than the lips move.
So i tried remoiving sound using virtual dub and than tried it again encoding the video but the same problem comes.
I changed some setting in my Panasonic Encoder "Video-3000kbps,Audio-192kbps,VBV Buffer Size-266" all other settings are the same.

When i complete the encodin the Mpeg file is of 2.4 gb and for that i have to use 4 cds what if i make SVCD how many cd will i require and i have DVD player will i be abel to play SVCD in that ??

3000 kbps is far too high a bitrate for a (S)VCD.

The avi file may contain corrupt frames you should load it in Virtualdub(mod). Post any error messages or dialog boxes that may appear, you can re-save the file using direct streamcopy for video and audio.

Or backup the file, and run it through divfix.

Then try re-encoding with TMPGEnc (make sure you have the latest version of TMPGenc). Use the appropriate (s)vcd templates to ensure your resultant mpeg files adhere to the (s)vcd standards.

This is the message i get when i open the movie in VirtualDub

"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatiblity. This may introduce up to 178742 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (Bitrate: 157.2+38.7 kbps)"

So is this has to do some thing with hanging problem and soundproblem using Panasonic Mpeg Decoder ???

        please help me

You will need to convert the vbr mp3 track to cbr. Under "audio" select "full processing" then comrpession, and mak ethe appropriate mp3 settings, keep video "direct stream copy". Resave the file, and then try loading it into TMPGenc.

BATMAN have one question in mind. In VirtualDub, Audio Compression option what should i select "MPEG-3" ?? In mpeg-3 i dont have 160kbps option.
