Difficulties with almost all Rip-Packs

Alrighty everyone I need some help.. I have tried all the latest rip Packs including GordianKnot 2.8, DVDx2.2, and the DVX 3.040b. From what I have found there are only guides that support earlier releases. Either that or I have problems with uninstalled applications (like ASPI for DVDx) and other things. Can someone point out an EASY TO FOLLOW guide for ripping and converting DVDs? I'm VERY new at this and need a really easy guide that i can follow!!

ya i found one that i'm working with.. it is with GordianKnot 0.26b.. and i found the files to work with and so far it is encoding fine.. i will find out in the morning.. but i had some problems with the aspect ratio not being what the guide suggested (if i follwed it the movie would be the size of a postal stamp!).. so i will let it run and then try to ask somone again if i have a problem with it!! but thanks for the help!
