Difference between nandub & virtualdub

What's the real difference between nandub & virtualdub, what's Yuv & Double buffering

NanDub can do two-pass encoding (DivX v.3.11alpha only), can handle .AC3 audiostreams, and can handle multiple audiostreams...

What's AC3 audiostreams why nandub development was closed

Dolby sound stream as found in most DVDs.

nandub's development has been ceased as its author (nando) has decided not to work on it anymore (it's his right). Besides, it has been superceded by VirtualdubMod (which has most of the capabilities of nandub, as well as being able to use more superior codecs and formats).
