Audio for Xvid Avi movie not supported

I uploaded James Bond it was a DVL.DVD file and tried to encode it with Vidomi got the video but no audio. The codecs are Xvid and AC3 DVM audio but the audio is not supported. Is there anyway Ito enable enable the sound to work so I can encode it. I tried with Virtualdub and the response was: "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check the sampling rate. Check that the sampling rate and the channel count match those of the requested format" Where do I check the sampling rate and channel count?"
If that is the solution. Seems terribly complicated. Plse let me know how to do this if it is at all possible or are they just silent movies?

Download and install the AC3 audio codec.
