    OGM + ac3

    Hi.

I would like to create OGM format movies (for chapter info primarily) with ac3 sound. I am currently using Gordian Knot 0.28 beta 2 and would like to stick to Gordian Knot as much as possible.
Is this possible/ what are the best tools for the job?
I haven't had much luck with oggmux since it seems I'd need to convert my ac3 file back to a wav (using beSweet?) and I'm getting some strange results with VirtualDubMod

    thx

I'm not sure you can mux ac3 into an ogm (oggmux use Tobias'filter collection - I guess virtualdubmod too)
-> give a try to Matroska container (.mkv)

I suppose that would mean using DVDtoOgm as my replacement for Gordian Knot - I'll happily give that a try. Do you know which players support mkv?

I think you can mux in ac3wav into an ogm - but this would probably mean v.large file sizes?

actually this page has a lot of information about matroska, including that it can contain ac3:
